How to Set Up Email in Mac Mail

Open the Mail app on your computer.

Click Mail in the upper left corner of the screen.

Click Preferences.

Click the Accounts tab.

There should be a list of your current email accounts along the left, click the "+" button on the bottom.

Type in your name, email address and password. You may get a pop up that says, "The identity of [Your URL] cannot be verified." That's fine, click Connect.

Select IMAP in the Account Type drop down box.

The Incoming Mail Server is specific to your domain, it would be mail.YOURDOMAIN.com but you would replace YOURDOMAIN with yours. Example: mail.akicreative.com Note: if you have a Canadian domain that ends in .ca then you would use that instead of .com.

The User Name is your FULL email address. For example: info@akicreative.net would be ours.

Your Password should have carried over, so click Continue.

Again, you may get a message that says "Logging into the server failed..." That's ok, click Continue.

Uncheck Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for the Incoming Mail Security. Also, make sure your Authentication is Password.
